Natasha Romanoff in the Comics
A fictional character of the Marvel Comics, Natalia “Natasha” Alianova Romanova is most commonly known as the Black Widow. She is a Russian agent trained as a spy, martial artist, and sniper, and dressed with an arsenal of high-tech weaponry, including a pair of wrist-mounted energy weapons dubbed her “Widow’s Bite.”
The Avengers
Romanoff grew up to eventually become a strong femme fatale. She was appointed to serve Boris Turgenov in the assassination of Professor Anton Vanko for abandoning from the Soviet Union, which served as her first task in the U.S. Natasha and Turgenov infiltrated Stark Industries as part of the plan. She tried to manipulate knowledge from American defense entrepreneur Tony Stark and inescapably braved his alter ego, Iron Man. The pair then battled Iron Man, and Turgenov stole and wore the Crimson Dynamo suit. Vanko spared himself to save Iron Man, killing Turgenov in the process, using an unstable test laser light pistol. Romanoff later meets the archer Hawkeye and sets him against Iron Man, and then helped Hawkeye battle Iron Man.
S.H.I.E.L.D.
Upon Nick Fury’s request, she started freelancing as an agent of the international espionage group S.H.I.E.L.D. She is sent on a secret S.H.I.E.L.D. mission to China by Nick Fury. There, with the Avengers, she battles Col. Ling, Gen. Brushov, and her ex-husband, the Red Guardian.
Her Special Powers
With the help of biotechnology, Black Widow is immune to aging and diseases, and she heals faster than the average human. However, mental conditioning suppresses her memory of actual events as opposed to embedded ones of the past without the aid of specially created system suppressant drugs. The white blood cells in her body are capable enough to fight off any microbe, foreign body, and others from her body, keeping her healthy and immune to most infections, diseases, and disorders.
Romanoff is intelligent. She displays an uncanny susceptibility to psychological manipulation and can mask her real emotions entirely. Like Steve Rogers, she can quickly process multiple information streams and quickly counter to changing tactical circumstances. She is an expert tactician, effective strategist, and field commander. She has led the Avengers and even S.H.I.E.L.D. on one occasion.
